Where we ship
Tankotastic ships worldwide — 150+ countries served by Japan Post’s EMS network. If your country doesn’t show at checkout, email hello@tankotastic.com and I’ll check if DHL is available as an alternative.
Carrier
- Default: EMS (Express Mail Service) via Japan Post — tracked, insured up to ¥20,000
- Backup: DHL Express for regions EMS doesn’t cover or when EMS is suspended
Processing time
- Orders placed before 3pm JST (Tokyo time): packed and dispatched same business day
- Orders placed after 3pm JST or on weekends: dispatched the next business day
- Maximum dispatch time: 48 hours from order confirmation

Customs & import duty
You are responsible for any customs fees, import duty, or VAT charged by your country. These are not included in the product or shipping price. Common thresholds: – USA: most orders under $800 are duty-free – EU: VAT applies on all imports — your carrier collects it on delivery – UK: VAT applies on all imports over £135; under £135 VAT is included at point-of-sale where possible – Canada / Australia: GST may apply
If a package is refused at customs or returned due to unpaid duties, I can refund the product cost but not the shipping.
Tracking
Every order gets an EMS tracking number emailed within 24 hours of dispatch. Track via: – Japan Post EMS tracker – Your country’s postal service (USPS, Royal Mail, Canada Post, etc. — they take over on arrival)
Returns & Refunds
Food safety note
Once food products leave Japan, they cannot be returned for resale — this is a food-safety and customs regulation, not a Tankotastic policy. Please read product descriptions carefully before ordering.
What I will refund
- Damaged in transit — email within 7 days of delivery with photos. Full refund or replacement.
- Wrong item shipped — I’ll send the right one at no extra cost, and you keep the wrong one.
- Missing item from multi-item order — full refund or reshipment of missing item.
- Lost in transit — if EMS tracking shows non-delivery after 30 days, full refund (I handle the insurance claim).
- Cancelled before dispatch — full refund, no questions asked. Email me within 24 hours of ordering.
What I can’t refund
- Change of mind after dispatch
- Packages refused by customer or returned due to incorrect address provided at checkout
- Customs fees or import duties charged by your country
- Flavor/variety complaints on mystery boxes (the surprise is the product)
- Packages delayed by customs clearance beyond my control
How to request a refund
Email hello@tankotastic.com with: 1. Your order number 2. A one-line description of the issue 3. Photos if the item is damaged or wrong
Refunds are processed within 3 business days via the original payment method. Depending on your bank, refunds may take 5–10 days to appear on your statement.
