What this is
Tankotastic is a one-person konbini, airmailed.
I live in Tokyo. Every week I walk the aisles of Japanese convenience stores, supermarkets, and dagashi shops, looking for snacks worth sharing with people outside Japan — the limited-edition KitKats, the dagashi your grandmother hoarded, the weird flavors that never make it past customs unless someone like me carries them.
Then I pack them, photograph them, and ship them to your door with EMS tracking.
Why this exists
Most “Japanese snack boxes” sold abroad ship from warehouses in the US or EU, stocked months in advance. By the time the KitKat reaches you, the “limited seasonal flavor” isn’t seasonal anymore — it’s on its way out of Japanese shelves too.

How it works
- Order anytime — site is open 24/7, just like a real konbini.
- I pack it fresh — usually same-day, always within 48 hours.
- EMS ships it — tracked, insured, 3–7 days to most countries.
- You open the package — ideally on camera, because some of these flavors deserve a face-cam.
What I promise
- Fresh stock. If it’s listed, it’s on Tokyo shelves this month.
- Real photos. Every product is photographed by me, not pulled from a manufacturer PDF (where legally possible).
- No dropshipping. No third-party fulfillment. Your package is packed by a human who ate the same snack yesterday.
- Honest descriptions. If something tastes weird, I’ll tell you. (Natto Umaibo, I am looking at you.)
What I can’t promise
- Specific limited flavors. Japan’s limited runs sell out fast. If you see it, buy it — I can’t restock.
- Instant delivery. EMS is fast but not Amazon-fast. Expect 3–7 business days.
- Perfect English on every package. These are snacks made for the Japanese market. The wrappers are Japanese. That’s the point.
